June brings a handful of new opportunities for us, not the least of which is going to be studio time. We've got two songs on the books to get recorded, and we're feeling excited and inspired to get into the studio!
This will be our first weekend recording as My Nextdoor Neighbor, and we're excited to announce that we'll be working on Mutemall and Homescreen, both originals by our guitarist and singer, John Leipheimer, and both being recorded for the first time!
Mutemall was written in the spring of 2022 and is a song about emerging from depression and being content with life. It was also the first song written independently for MNN. Homescreen started being written in February of 2022 and finished in May of 2023, and was originally written as an introduction song to a longer concept album about humankind's relationship with artificial intelligence.
We'll be releasing both of these songs soon, so keep an eye out for more announcements! Otherwise, we're looking forward to seeing YOU at our upcoming shows this month!
